President's Report:
Hello members,
Your board has been very busy working to make this year the best year we have had for the Ventura NACE Chapter!
We have quite a few things going on that I want to make you aware of:
- Casa Pacifica Food & Wine Festival is happening Sunday June 3rd. We have decided to be the Champagne Sponsor again at the VIP Entrance and are looking for volunteers to pour and hand out the Champagne. We need about 8-12 people so if you are interested please let me know.
- We have decided to move forward with the Bocce Ball Festival as our Major Fund Raiser for the year. This will be held September 9th, 2012 and we are hoping everyone will be involved with the committee. It will take everyone involved to make this a success. Please let Jason Collis know what capacity you can help out with. We really need help with securing corporate sponsors etc. It looks as if the Sheriff’s Department is going to co host this event with us and will be a great event!
- Our June 2012 meeting is going to be exciting as we have Lisa Hopkins who will be the next NACE National President coming to speak to us. This is going to be a great meeting and if you have any questions about NACE that you have ever wanted to ask this will be the time.
Finally, Biz Bash will be in LA in June. NACE National will have a booth and is looking for volunteers to come work the booth and talk about NACE.
There will also be a cocktail mixer the evening before in the Santa Monica/ LA area to try and get a LA Chapter restarted, and they would love to have some of our members there as well.
