The Mission is the original wedding location for Ventura County! And it remains a beautiful and historic setting for weddings of all dominations.
With our four ceremony venues the adjacent Mission Garden, O’Brien Hall, and Parish Center the Mission offers a convenient one-stop wedding and reception package for couples and their guests.
Our Ceremony Venues consist of three breath taking venues;
Figueroa Plaza
Ventura Beach Ceremony
Serra Cross Vista
Mission Church (For Catholic Weddings)
For your Reception we offer three options:
O'Brien Hall is a favorite for wedding receptions with spectacular views of the Bell Tower and the surrounding area from a "bird's eye view". O'Brien Hall is also available for conference meeting space as well. O'Brien Hall accommodates 300 guests for meal seating and 500 guests for conference seating.
A more intimate venue is the Parish Center Auditorium that can accommodate 125 guests for meal seating and up to 200 guests for a conference meeting.
For Cocktail parties or casual garden feel events we have the Mission Garden setting that offers lush gardens with historical architecture.
San Buenaventura Mission offers several venues for receptions and meetings. Most notable is the historic Mission Church reserved for Catholic sacred liturgies: Holy Mass, Marriages, Baptisms, Quinceaneras, and Funerals. The Church is also available for concerts and tours by group or individuals (see their Visitor page). The Church is generally open to the public from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
O'Brien Hall is a favorite for wedding receptions with spectacular views of the Bell Tower and the surrounding area from a "bird's eye view". O'Brien Hall is also available for conference meeting space. O'Brien Hall accommodates 300 guests for meal seating and 500 guests for conference seating.
A more intimate venue is the Parish Center Auditorium that can accommodate 125 guests for meal seating and up to 200 guests for a conference meeting.
On occasion the Missions Gardens and the Bonaventure Room are available for a private event and for a smaller meeting venue respectively. The gardens can host a non-seated event for 125 persons and the Bonaventure Room will accommodate 40 guests for a meal seating and 75 persons for a conference meeting.
