March 2016 Print

President's Report

Hello NACE Members,

Can you believe it's March already and we are in the third month of 2016? Time flies by fast these days, and I want to let you know we value your time you give to your VENTURA County NACE chapter!

I want to thank our board members for their time and energy this past February.

Our board had an all day board retreat and came up with a great work plan for 2016! Your voices were heard at our State of NACE meeting in January! Your board used your suggestions of what you would like to experience for NACE in 2016 and beyond. The feed back was tremendous, and we included all your information and feed back in our work plan for 2016!

The outcome? Our Board came up with three main goals for 2016:

1. Increase our membership while retaining our current membership
2. Focus on adding more value and attendance to our NACE monthly meetings
3. To share the heart of NACE throughout the event industry and our clients.

Would you like to part of the board? We have one spot open for a member who would like to be considered for the boards' Communications Director (A.k.A Social media director). The position will be appointed by the board. Responsibilities would include maintaining and managing our social media content.
If interested please contact me!

Would you like to be a committee member?
Hospitality Chair Suzzi Brown is looking for members to help out at our monthly meetings with our registration table duties! Responsibilities would include welcoming guests, handing out name tags and helping to run our opportunity drawing.  If interested please contact me!

Lastly, I ask one simple request this month from each of our members to help us grow our Chapter... I ask that you invite at least one friend to our next meeting!

Our next meeting on March 22nd! For March's meeting, Ventura County NACE is featuring Chris Evans of Evans Sales Solutions presenting Bridal Business Bootcamp at The Camarillo Commemorative Airforce Museum.

I hope all is well,

About The Commemorative Air Force Museum

More than just a collection of airworthy warplanes from the past, the CAF's fleet of historic aircraft, known as the CAF Ghost Squadron, recreate, remind and reinforce the lessons learned from the defining moments in American military aviation history.

The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Museum is ran by a non-profit, all-volunteer organization, dedicated to preserving the history of WWII aircraft for generations to come.

"A generation which ignores history has no past and no future" – Robert Heinlein. The CAF acquires, restores and preserves, in flying condition, a complete collection of combat aircraft flown by all military services of the United States, & selected aircraft of other nations, for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations of Americans. Help history soar!
